Study Visit of the European Internet Foundation (EIF) Delegation

Members of the European Parliament and International Companies come to #DIGITALPAVIA to visit the Polo Tecnologico, the innovative start-up incubator of Pavia, followed by a visit to the University campus. The University of Pavia is one of the most ancient universities in Europe, founded in 1361, although a school of rhetoric is documented in 825, making this center perhaps the oldest proto-university of Europe.

Presentation of a EU Search Platform for #coding as a result of the recent call to action of the European Commission. “Last year, EU Code Week engaged almost ten thousand Europeans; this year’s will be an even bigger success. The grand coalition for digital jobs has gathered dozens of pledges, for millions of new internships, training places, and jobs. […] One recent idea is for a platform specifically on coding. This is a great idea — and should include as many stakeholders as possible”  (Neelie Kroes, Vice President of the European Commission, “Coding: connect and scale up!“, 25 June 2014, Brussels).
